What's it like being an artist? How do you keep your inspiration fresh and exciting? One of the biggest challenges as an artist is to keep creating, following your inspirations to the end of their bread crumb trail in hopes that your perspective will inspire or resonate with the outer world. The abstract language of Art can be a very open sourced meridian to get lost in. Money, of course is always a driving factor in keeping your muse fed as well. The struggles of being a successful artist are that of a lifelong quest, it's not for the meak. One will have plenty of unsold works, knock on plenty of doors that just won't budge, and be challenged to build your inner voice with strength and conviction. It's the devotion and passion to create outside of these demanding expectations that truly makes great art. Like the lotus slowly growing through the darkest depths of our own internal clay, we are floating, drifting, and emerging new, each day. Success is an illusion in the grand scale of being a true artist. Allow life's journey to sculpt you and progress as you will, but never lose your sense of wonder and amazement in creating itself.
